Module 5: Quieting the Noise

Lesson 2 of 3 · 14 min

Creating space in an ordinary day

I'm not going to tell you to meditate for an hour every morning or go and live in a cabin with no wifi.

Most people have jobs, families, responsibilities and a phone they genuinely need. So let's talk about creating quiet in a real life.

Small gaps matter

You don't need big blocks of silence. You need little gaps. Moments where nothing is coming in and you get a chance to notice what's already there.

The shower. The walk to the car. Waiting for the kettle. The first two minutes after you wake up. The queue at the shop.

These are moments most of us fill instantly. What if you left a few of them empty?

Slowing down

When we're rushed, we don't notice things. We react. Slowing down, even just a little, gives your inner knowing a chance to catch up.

That might mean walking slightly slower. Eating without a screen. Taking one breath before answering a question. Not replying to a message the second it comes in.

Journaling

Writing is one of the simplest ways to hear yourself. It slows your thoughts down to the speed of your hand, and things come out that you didn't know were in there.

You don't need to be a good writer. You don't need nice notebooks. You just need to write without editing yourself.

Meditation and mindful observation

Meditation doesn't have to mean emptying your mind. It can simply mean sitting and watching what's happening without getting pulled into it.

Mindful observation is the same thing with your eyes open. Really looking at something ordinary, like a cup or a tree or your own hand, and noticing it in detail. It trains the same muscle intuition uses: paying attention.

Reflection Companion

Write, then go a little deeper

Write honestly about what's on your mind. You'll get a few personal reflection questions, shaped by the course, to help you notice what's underneath. They're prompts, not answers.

AI-powered. Your entry is only used to create the questions and is saved on this device.

Take your time. Mark it complete when you've done the exercises.
